Ed Casal has long-term successful career building and managing real estate investment teams and businesses.  Most recently, he was the former Chief Executive of LaSalle Global Partner Solutions, where he was responsible for setting its strategic direction, managing the team, group profitability and investment performance for more than $7 billion in equity capital. 

Ed was CEO of Global Real Estate at Aviva Investors, where he managed a business managing more than $30 billion in real estate investment capital. Ed joined Aviva Investors in 2008 as Global CIO of the Aviva Investors Multi-manager business as a result of the purchase of Madison Harbor Capital, a firm he co-founded along with Mr. Bates in 2004.

Ed is a former Chairman of AFIRE (Association for International Real Estate Investors), a former Board Member of  NAREIM, and a former Board Member of Parkway Properties and Cousins Properties, each publicly-listed US REITs.  He is a member of the Consulting Board of STARS Investment Management, a family office.  Ed is fluent in Spanish and lives in New York. He has been based professionally in New York, London and Singapore. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School and Tulane University.

Russ Bates has over 25 years of institutional real estate experience with a focus on launching and growing real estate asset management businesses, joint venture investments involving the development and repositioning of real estate, recapitalizing real estate ventures and providing liquidity to investors. He is experienced in portfolio management, underwriting, and partnership governance.

Russ served as Head of the Americas and as a member of the global investment committee of LaSalle Global Partner Solutions, an investment platform with over $7 billion in assets under management, and its predecessor, Aviva Investors, for over ten years where he managed an investment program for real estate joint venture, co-investment, and fund investing. 

Russ is an adjunct instructor at the Schack Institute of Real Estate at New York University. He is a member and former board member of NAREIM, and a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the ULI Lifestyle Residential Development Council 55+, as well as the Maryland State Bar Association (inactive). He is an Eagle Scout and a graduate of the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and Baylor University.
